”COVID-19 has changed many things but here is something unchangeable. Although the Annual Stewardship program takes place in the fall, it actually points to how we respond to God’s plans for our church year-round.
We don’t give of our time, talents, and treasure in order to earn God’s grace or the church’s acceptance. Rather we give because God has already given to usinfinite love and unconditional grace –and we get the chance to share this love and grace within this community of faith.
Through each of us, God has given us together the means to worship and minister as a congregation over the years. Now is our time to continue what God has going on here.On Sunday, November 22, we will celebrate our commitments to support next year’s ongoing ministry and mission of our church.
I hope that each of you will fill out a Pledge Card and either bring it to church or mail it to us, so that you can share in this time of celebration and commitment to continue serving God right here in Pontiac and around the world. Pledge Cards, and a pamphlet describing all the faithful things we are doing in and through our church, will be mailed to our homes in early November
